Frequently Asked Questions

Do you take insurance?

I am an out-of-network provider. I charge $160 per 60 minute session. We may decide that shorter sessions are more helpful for your child, and rate is adjusted for duration (e.g., $120 for 45 minutes, $80 for 30 minutes). Payment is due at the time of service. Cash, personal check, credit and debit cards are accepted. Superbills are provided for out-of-network reimbursement. I do not believe in cancellation fees, and you will never be charged for missed or cancelled sessions.

Where are you located?

Speaking Hearts is a central New Jersey-based private practice that operates on a home health model of service delivery. Speech therapy sessions take place in family homes and other settings that are a natural part of a child’s life, such as daycares and preschools, parks and libraries. This model of service delivery works for families who like for therapy to take place in their child’s natural environment, rather than in a clinical setting.

Currently my service range includes all of Somerset County, and additionally parts of Middlesex, Mercer, Hunterdon, and Morris counties. I do not charge “travel fees.”
